I support  women undertaking the journey through pregnancy, birth and beyond.

I have knowledge that comes from personal experience as well as years of study.  I am always learning and I trust that each woman I assist will teach me something worth passing on to another woman. 

Because I do have an background of over 30 years of attending births as wells as my experience working in the hospital newborn nursery and postpartum, I can assess  when things are outside of normal and have received training in recognizing and intervening when necessary.  In the midwifery spirit of care, we try not to intervene unless it is necessary. 

    I look forward to working with you and your family. I feel that I learn something from each woman I work with and their families and children.

        Home is the optimal setting for birth for many families. I have six children and three were born at home.  I have deep respect for the natural birth process and a strong belief that parents should create their own birth experiences based on what is important to their family. 

Pregnancy is an awesome and enjoyable time and I look forward to participating in your care.
